A Welcoming Community

Church World Service (CWS) Dallas welcomes refugees, immigrants, and asylum-seekers from around the globe into lives of freedom, hope, and opportunity through direct services, advocacy, leadership development, and relationship-building in our community. Dallas is one of only 12 official welcoming cities in the US and consistently welcomes some of the largest numbers of newcomers in the country each year. The state received about 3,790 individuals during the 2023 Fiscal Year, with a statewide projection set at 7,965 for the 2024 Fiscal Year.
